About Me:
Heya, I'm Joe.

I live in the St Louis and am a self taught artist. I am a junk store junkie, with a love for anything kooky. I am also a huge fan of film, particularly of 1940's Film Noir. Watching these old films makes my chest swell with joy and giggles. Also, an avid reader of the popular pulps of that time...not to mention the music of that era as well. My favorite thing to do is to put on Benny Goodman and sit at my desk and go into that world of the shady shamus and the diabolical dames.

It only made since to me that my art should reflect that time as well. You can hear 'Do what you love' so many times in your lifetime before you actually sit down and do just that.

After some sketches were seen at an Old Orchard Gallery by Jenny, I was suggested to exhibit myself. It seems like a great place to share my love for this world. My hopes for my art is to inject these images with a bit of lightheartedness and humor. These are dark films and I rather like that contradiction.

I also hope you enjoy them as much as I do in making them.

But for now I gotta dangle...
