Has anyone displayed their artwork for sale in a hair salon?  I have recently been approached to do so. It seems like a great idea, however I'm concerned that the work will take on the chemical salon…Continue

About Me:
My art was birthed during a time of crisis. My daughter was 3 months old when we learned that she would die without extreme medical intervention. Having many idle hospital hours, I began to turn my fear into hair clips that I was determined she would someday wear. Many procedures, tests, heart surgeries, and a liver transplant later she is running around proudly sporting those hair clips.

Now, God has given me an abundance of creativity to grow from those hair clips to jewelry, art, and accessories designed encourage others. Fear, heartache, and pain have robbed so many of us of our God given destiny. I hope to inspire you to rise up and OVERCOME...
If you're an artist/art student, don't forget to add a brief artist's statement and photos of three of your art works to either your "comment wall" or "text box." This is your basic St. Louis Art Directory information. Later you may add images, videos, post a blog, and much more.
Art is therapeutic. Each morning, I spend time reflecting and writing prayers that become the foundation of my artwork. As the layers build up, I'm encouraged both visually and emotionally by the transformation. Each canvas becomes a parallel reflection of our lives and how we CHOOSE to respond to events that present themselves.
