About Me:
A native Ozark woman somehow got turned around and ended up in Chicago in 1998, many years ago, now. She still wonders at how it became her hometown, and has been trying to escape to no avail until now -- to NW Indiana where she lived with the Sand Hill Cranes, a possum and a big red cat; to Philly where she transformed into a fly on the wall and watched unobserved; to China where she lived in a hutong with a bazillion other people but couldn't hide, finally settling in a lovely little near-west artsy suburb surrounded by a mountain of beads to protect her, finally reconciled to being a city dweller.

But fate and family brought her back to St. Louis where she lives happily satisfied to be an Artist wedged between the Missouri and Mississippi, close to her roots, banging on metal and walking around with some kind of little tool in her hand or (oddly) tucked into her hair if it's in her way -- then looking for it for hours until she glances in the mirror and --Oh! --
