Thank you for the advice Stan. A CC class might work out well.
I think getting good, productive feed back for your work is really hard. Even for someone like like me, who has been teaching and working as a fine artist for 35 years, its an issue. My advice, for in progress work; you have a choice, you might develop a circle of trusted friends or fellow artists and make an effort to show them work. I know of and have taken part in a group of older professionals and aspiring photographers who get together once every few months to have dinner, bull shit and then everyone presents a few works for general discussion. It's an interesting mix and very informal, but everyone brings work. The other possibility is to sign up for an advanced photo class at community college and get some feedback there. Some of the people teaching part time at CC are excellent, some not so, so ask around, but its a cheap enough way to find a peer group.
I'm looking for the best way to get critique on my work.
