The Foundry Art Centre will host a landscape painting workshop May 19 – 20, 2016, taught by internationally-renowned watercolor artist Paul Jackson. Jackson is one of today’s most versatile and visible contemporary watercolorists; his portfolio of watercolor paintings is in several collections, including the Missouri State Capitol and the Supreme Court, and his work has been featured in publications such as Forbes Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. Paul Jackson’s Dramatic Landscape Workshop is a step-by-step demonstration of his painting process including informal lectures, discussions, demonstrations and critiques to refine your personal painting style.
Participants can expect a concentrated and lively workshop that will elevate your understanding of watercolor no matter what your skill level is. Beginners are always welcome. Paul will help you reach the next level of artistic confidence and ability as he guides you through a painting while illustrating the principles of design, color, value, composition and the mechanics of watercolor.
