Recap of the "First Friday Art After Five" at "The Galleries at Sole Survivor" in Belleville 4/1/2011

The latest "First Friday Art After Five" art opening, was another successful event for "The Galleries at Sole Survivor". A large number of guests attended and the evening was enjoyed by all. The "Word Challenge" photography exhibit that previously filled the newly expanded back section of the gallery, is gone now,...and the space has been filled with the works of many new artists. Some stunning new paintings, photography and ceramics are on display. Among the new artists is a 14 year old girl by the name of Libby Tellor who is the latest "student artist" and she has shown herself to have an eye for photography...she already has some great photos on display. Some of the other artists who are new to the gallery are: Leanne Riebold, Lyndon Joost, John Freidenberg, Bill Little, Steve Rye, and Marilynn Bradley. We welcome them all to the gallery and invite everyone to come in and check out their new work.
In fact, most of the work of the regular artists has been replaced by new works of their own..and the gallery has been completely rearranged, thanks to the hard work by Jacque Davis, Becky Lazaroff, and Mike Grandy. They are the team that has done the majority of the work in keeping Sole Survivor looking fresh and exciting. We hope you'll stop in and see for yourself.   David Carriel
